Vaughan Burnand
Vaughan Burnand is a Constructor of some 38 years experience and latterly was Chief Executive of Shepherd Construction, a position he held for 8 years after joining the company in 1992 as Chief Estimator.
He is a member of the CIOB, IoD and a major supporter of modernising the industry through process reforms such as Lean, Risk, Collaborating Value and Supply Chain Management, and aims to achieve high levels of integration between Clients, Designers, Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers and the Workforce.
Vaughan has been Chairman of the Major Contractor’s Group Health and Safety Group, Chairman of Be (Collaborating for the Built Environment Ltd) and a Director of Constructing Excellence since 2005 and now has a plural career. This is as non executive director of 3 organisations with the principle role being the Chairman of Constructing Excellence.
